Oooo a new contender. We obviously have the now well established "Ardley has to go" thread started just after the Harrogate semi final game. Play we've got the "Ardley Out" thread which popped up just 2 minutes after we conceded late in the Dover game.

And now this beauty the "Ardley in..?!" Thread created the morning after the night before. Hopefully this thread will be a little different from the other two, maybe more balanced.

I must admit I expected one of these threads demanding the manager is sacked early on this season but never thought we would have 3 by the morning after the first game of the season.

That's impressive even by NCM standards. The question is will there be a 4th popping up on Monday or do we have to wait till after the Altrincham game?

    Let's wait and see folks

Like nearly all of us, I'm extremely dissatisfied - the relegation / the start to last season / the final (I was about the only one on here complaining about Turner over Rawlo) / the start to this season / selection and formation / Abbott / undropability of Doyle and to a lesser extent O'Brien - Sick of it.

Still, I don't want him sacked right now. I hope they're giving him a points total, something like 11 pts for the first 6 games? (including Dover of course) Then another after that. The moment he can't make it, pull the trigger.

The total should have been 9 points from the first 3 games. All 3 of these games could be the easiest games we get this season with opposition teams and squads in disarray. Dover filled me with dread....

laddo, maybe some were going to give him the benefit of the doubt, but a dire pre-season, they can see nothing has changed for the first league game when they should have been up for it

There is little doubt in my mind that Ardley should have gone following the disastrous display against Harrogate at Wembley. He has not got a clue how to effect changes in tactics when plan "A" fails. His decision to sub Jim O Brien with only 5 minutes left to play was probably the worst decision he could have made, it left the side one short in defence which probably the catalyst for Dover to go upfield and score their late goal

I confess to being very concerned about the direction of the team at present. However, the problem with changing now is that he has put his own squad together and to change now may mean a new manager working with players he doesn't want. I'm concerned about the appointment of Abbott as his number 2. I don't see what he adds to the club. I'd give Ardley until the end of November and then make a decision.

We ended up 3rd and pushing with almost 10 games left. Yeah we lost the final, it happens to any teams, for some reason they just don’t turn up whoever the manager and he got Wimbledon up in a final, so proves he can do it.
I think we play decent football, yeah it’s possession based and not hell for leather but personally prefer it to Nolan’s dross, 90% long balls and we got found out December that year and we’re crap afterwards.
100% agree he needs to get us up this season though with resources
    BBBBAAAAA
Nolan,s dross as y6u call it was far superior to Ardley,s respecting the point rubbish, and the reason it fell apart for Nolan was Ryan Yates who was on loan from Forest, was recalled in early January, ( Jorge Grants goals then dried up), and Alan Hardy failed to strengthen the squad in the January 2018 transfer market

The reason we lost ground was for the rubbish results in november/December that started with the mauling by Barrow 0f 3-0 at home. As i said before 3rd when it was curtailed, our highest position, most of it was lower in the table, i think we would of finished lower, others higher, either way no way we would have caught barrow and Harrogate. In the end Ardley failed, we ended up no betterr than a club in the bottom half
As for Wimbledon he was sacked in 2018 after a terrible run of losses , then came to Notts and relegated us, testament to his losing track record

He should have been sacked after the imbarrassment/hewmillyasian of our P/O final, rather than be allowed to bring players in. I get this awful feeling that last years feeble brush with promotion, will be the nearest we get to a return to the FL for a good while, with HArdley at the helm
