    British teams like Manchester United and City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs could be lost to the English game whilst in Spain, Germany and Italy other giant teams with mega wealthy owners will want to join.

    Let's face it, the FA and the EFL are not in charge of the game anymore! They accept a majority decision from the club owners but this will be different as they won't have a choice in the matter.

    I kind of want a breakaway league to happen.
    If this happens this Could also trigger a merge of The rest of premiership and Championship with bottom 6 of championship being relegated to league 1. Leaving 26 teams ish

    I can’t see it happening if it does it will but a big burden on the fans of the big clubs with travel costs

    Not to mention I’d imagine the new premiership clubs (championship now) will no doubt break away

    They don't give a crap about the British fans not going. There's enough people willing to watch in China, Dubai and America. A one-off game will see status seeking folk come flocking

    Pessimistic view, but to be honest I’m starting to think the same

    Manchester United and Liverpool have written a dossiere stating that they want to give the rest of the leagues a £200m sweetener to get a vote through to;

    Reduce the number of clubs int Prem to 18
    Scrap the League cup in whatever sponsors name
    Scrap the Charity Shield
    Scrap the Parachute payments

    Of course it is a proposal and has to be voted through by 14 clubs in the premiership. Parry, the EFL leader is in favour of this but I can't help think that his previous employer Liverpool FC have been writing this up for a while and now he's head of the EFL they can influence him. The EPL aren't happy with him.

    basically the Premiership clubs will play;
    36 league games
    5 FA cup games at the most
    10 European matches for the top 6 clubs will play.

    It could be, as a supporter for a Prem club that you watch only 17 home matches with the posibility of watching 0 cup matches at home and that's it.

    Most teams will be loaning players from the top 6 because they'll be able to sweep up all of the tallent and rent them out to clubs. There won't be the need to base a B team in England!

    If 18 clubs they would play 34 league games not 36. The plan is flawed!

    POSH have it right. The government is saying no so it leaves the door open for the clubs to accept scraps from the table of the Prem with a huge price to pay later.

    The top 6 teams are also wantig to do live streaming of games. This will reduce the income from Sky and other partners who won't offer the same contracts again. This will reduce money into the EFL.

    Is the EPL big enough to sell their rights without the big 6

    Bring the Euro league on. Football in England will survive. Even if it's eleven local lads playing for nowt, on Herringthorpe playing fields, this town will still have a team to watch. If there's no England side, so be it.
    The game is much bigger than the top six sides.
