With a bit of luck there'll be nowhere for those six to go so they'll have to play each other week in, week out. That would be fun for them!
You're quite right that it's a big stitch up by the big clubs wanting an even bigger chunk. This isn't going away and if it doesn't go through which I doubt it will, it will resurface in another form at another time until they get their way.

For the first time, I'm rapidly losing interest in top flight football for so many reasons;
The sheer greed of the big clubs
The complete disregard for season ticket holders who are treated shoddily with rearranged fixtures.
The power of TV broadcast now means supporters who attend live matches are playing second fiddle to the legions of plastic fans at home and abroad
The fact that the media only seem to think the big 6 or whatever matter and the rest of the league don't
The way Premier clubs have treated staff in this crisis, in many cases long serving staff have been disregarded whilst the players are insulated from any of this.
The knee bending before every game for a very questionable organisation
The antics of Sky offering second rate pundits based on tokenism
Despite there being more money in football than ever before, no long term benefit at the grass roots and non-league levels is greatly in evidence. It just serves to make the agents and players richer without building any long term infrastructure to our national game.

We are basically backing a 3 legged horse as are half of the Premier League. The way the big clubs have been allowed to build a cartel has achieved what it set out to do, keep them where they are and eliminate competition to their status. This is all so far away from the game I fell in love with I'm seriously considering not bothering any more and supporting the lower local teams which in my case is Kiddy Harriers.
