    Trust the Govt

There is no other Govt out there who would know how better to blow £12 billion of our money to Serco for a track and trace system which barely works. We are definitely getting value for spending £7k per day to their consultants.

The head of this world beating T&T system is Dido Harding, who is a Tory Peer.

And if any of you are concerned, you can complain to the Tories Anti-corruption Champion. Dido Harding's husband and Tory MP John Penrose. I'm sure that will get you far.

If all else fails, just remember the common line to trot out. Its all Labour's fault. Right Mick..

You are correct; Dildo Harding is a close pal of Health Secretary Matt Hancock, both horse racing fans, and as you say, her husband is in the Tory hierarchy and don’t forget that she was boss of TalkTalk when it suffered the greatest data breach yet in British telecoms, also voted the worst ever internet and phone network provider. She has no experience in matters relating to healthcare, so, obviously, we’ll qualified for the job. If Test and Trace had been put in the hands of local NHS trusts and given the finance that has been wasted on Dildo and those two private companies, then we might well have been in a better place now. Absolute shambles of a government; oh yes, we can add the balls up that is Brexit to their achievements, too, cripple the economy through mishandling the Coronavirus crisis and make it more difficult to recover from it economically. Unbelievable!

I think it has a little more to do with who you know, rather than the service you can provide.

We often deride African countries for this, but we are as corrupt as it gets. Its just that our corruption is hidden better.

Ah Mick, I'm agreeing with you on here. We must trust this Govt.

When Gove said 'this will be the easiest deal in history' with the EU, we obviously should trust him. I mean we 'hold all the cards'

I especially liked it when he said maintaining food standards would be a red line, and he would never vote against it. Was there a vote this week about that..can't recall now..

Or when Boris said we would have a world beating T&T system by June 1st...How about when he said 'oven ready Brexit deal'

I mean, what's not to trust?

The Daily Mail said it would be okay didn't it...

I.T companies have managed to swindle whatever government has been in power for decades. I can’t think of many other industries with such appalling track records in this respect. NHS, DHSS, Defence in fact you name it.

My lad's mate sells broadband deals and by far and away his easiest repeat business is to anyone in the public sector. They are so often happy to stay with existing suppliers therefore paying more for outdated systems. Next door's dog has more idea of how to negotiate a deal.
I don't blame suppliers for taking advantage I blame customers for allowing themselves to be taken advantage of.

    I totally agree.

Procurement in the Public Sector is pathetic.

I would put buying in the hands of professional buyers if I was running things.

In my own industry I’m well known for my approach to buying and to getting the best price possible on every product.

I do this through nous but also through long nurtured relationships and a friendly approach and I don’t ask for prices that rape my suppliers either.

I know what’s achievable and fair.

I could save the NHS multi millions.

Few years back a guy showed me a small box of originally 1000 plastic rivets he had bought in which had cost him £9. He had sold 100 to the MOD for £196. This was 1 item on an extensive buying list. He did of course make sure they knew he had them in stock for next time they bought them.

He sold consumables to both large companies and one man businesses (Fred in a shed he called them with absolutely no disrespect.) He said "not only did Fred with his small spend drive the harder bargain he also demanded the best service. Late on delivery with big customer meant phone a week later from a youngster who took the message delivery would be another week to which they said thank you and made note. Fred would be on the phone day they were due "where the f are my f in goods? If you can't get them to me get me your boss on the phone. Now."

I've got loads of time for the Freds of this world.

It's much easier to set up a business in the UK than it is most Western Europe countries.
