We just leach off the English.

All these years I’ve been paying tax thinking it went to HMRC
    Everyday’s a school day.
To be fair dons daft she did say yesterday that if the uk government gives us money to continue the furlough scheme then she would consider putting us into full lockdown again.

I presume if they didn’t we would continue the way we are.

I think she would have done it to coincide with the school October holidays but they wouldn’t let us access the money.

( not give us the money, but give us our money back, or more realistically allow us to access our borrowing)

It means that this money is only accessible if the south of england needs it.

Of course, what they’re not telling you is that they expect it all to be much worse again in the spring.

I saw an NHS prediction graph the other day which showed this peak to be double the one in April but the next spring one to be about double the one we’re in.

Don’t expect to be back at Pittodrie any time soon.

I bet you the utter bollox predictions by the "advisers" are miles wrong, it will be no where near as bad as they are painting it.

The whole thing is bollox. It's only slightly worse than flu and nobody pees their pants and shuts down the whole country for that.

Normally i wouldn't rise to your constant baiting but you have crossed a line.

Less than two weeks ago I lost my old man to "Slightly worse than the flu".
Despite surviving pneumonia , cancer and a heart attack.

If you concede you have gone too far and apologise I'm sure we can move on.

The UK has been borrowin' huge amounts o' cash, year on year, since before the 2008 global credit crunch! .... It is extremely likely that UK would have borrowed a huge amount this year, next year, and the year after - even if Covid hadna occured.

So, fit's new? - apart fae actually haein a damn good reason tae borrow? Hasna seemed tae hae caused heads tae roll so far.

As for Scotland? Seems tae me that the UK has habitually 'borrowed' Scotland's entire GDP on an annual basis ... but rather that pay back with interest, 'repays' us somewhat less than that sum 'borrowed'.

I believe that if we were in control of our own finances, we would have less need to borrow - or at least be in control of what we borrow ... and how much 'assistance' we can give to our good neighbours down south.

I’m not going to argue with that neeps min.

But we keep borrowing all this money
I imagine lots of countries are borrowing loads of money.

I’m possibly, maybe even probably being thick but.....who do we borrow it from?

I’m not sure I believe in money, it’s just a bad dream.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, DonUnder.

I hope that you and your family are bearing up after such a hard time and a dreadful outcome.
