    Maradona

Having brain surgery to remove a clot.
Hope it works and there is no residual damage.

Can't share your sentiments OC, I hope his "hand of God" jumps up off the operating table and smacks him in his horrible, cheating gob.

One of the best footballers the world has produced. He carried that Italian team to glory all on his own when playing in Italy.Fantastic footballer who has been maligned for getting away with a handball . If he'd have done that playing for England we would have been over the moon.. Not a nice thing to say about him BT when you know all footballers are cheats. Who was the Burnley player who punched one in the net for us a few seasons ago? Remind me please.

Bloody hell Alf, we have both been on this message board long enough to know by now I am not "nice".

He has constantly referred to the fact his "Hand of God" goal was payback for England's intervention in the Falklands conflict. He's a self confessed coke head and an alcoholic and not on my "role model" list.

Undoubtedly a fantastic footballer, but in my opinion a phucking horrible human being. I do not wish him well.

When he was with Napoli they hadn’t won the Serie “A” title ,since Long John Silver had an egg on his shoulder. He used to carry other peoples urine ,so that when they tested players straight after a game he was in the clear. Everyone knew he was high as a kite most of the time. He was a puppet for the Italian mafia, at their beck and call at all hours of day and night. He denied fathering someone else’s child, but later admitted years later that he was responsible. It looked to me as though many of the results during Napoli’s title win were “arranged”. Remember when he shoved his face in the camera during a World Cup game ? Not the behaviour of someone who wasn’t influenced by drugs of some sort . Undoubtedly a very talented footballer. To be great, you need a bit more than that. Unfortunately, for me , he wasn’t quite in that catergory.

Nice to see I can still get a nibble off you.
