I've championed Scott Wright since seeing him in the under 20s - I just don't think he was played in the right position and the system didn't suit him in previous seasons. As a winger he would just drift out of games - but through the middle he is much more involved, and has more license to roam and find pockets of space. The change to a 3421 system has been ideal for him, and his inclusion has made for much more exciting football to watch this season. The same could be said of Hedges I think. It's great having 2 players with pace and skill to open up defences, in addition to two wing backs, and 2 central midfielders who can get box to box.
I think Wright has improved in terms of his work rate and seems to keep his head up a bit more when things don't come off than when he was just getting the odd 10 minutes here and there out on the wing in previous seasons. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment, and he should be due a new contract. If he keeps up his current form he won't be far off a Scotland call up by the end of the season - the national team lacks that type of player when guys like Fraser and Forrest are missing - it seems the national side are going to play a similar system to how we are operating, so he could find himself a spot in there at some point.
