Do you really think anyone is going to throw out millions of votes because he wants them too?Why are you so bothered about that it will never happen just yanks playing silly games he tried 6 days ago and it never worked why are you scared it will now.To be honest no not really bothered in slightest about American election but because on furlough and bored have picked up bits.Like sleepy joe big on Irish catholic roots does not like our leader and is big fan of EU none of that sounds good for us which I do worry slightly about.Trump is a trumpet who has been brought up a spoiled kid who a very large amount of Americans support some how had over 71.5 million votes.Sleepy joe seem like most old men getting a bit dottled if really has power to wipe the world out slightly scarey but really I think there are others about that can stop presidents starting a world war as a lot of Trump haters seemed to think would happen when he became president.

i am not 'bothered' 'upset' 'full of hatred' all the things you have thrown at me over this. I am taking an interest in the biggest story in world politics at present and offering my opinion. I have an interest in what goes on around the world and what has been happening in the US is deeply fascinating and impact reverberates in geo politics. There will be books written about this period in decades to come. If you want to offer a different opinion to mine go ahead but drop the daft patter about questioning why I should be interested in all this as if there is something strange about it.

I'm with Arab777 here. What we are seeing is a disgraceful attack on American democracy by a sitting President. I'd go further, because you have to consider this is the exact behaviour that a foreign agent like Russia would want.

The Republicans are also refusing to give the Democrats access to the Transition budget for handover and access to handover data that incoming Presidents traditionally have.

Meanwhile Trump is firing important heads of departments in a burn it down before I leave policy, and a lot of Republican senators are refusing to condemn him because the balance of power in the Senate depends on race offs in Georgia.

We may laugh at them but it's a serious situation. If it was happening here it would be regarded as a constitutional crisis.

I'm assuming it's all about his ego - he knows the game's up and he's out on his @rse but he's going to throw every possible complaint at it so that he and his hardline supporters can always claim that he didn't actually lose. He basically said he was going to do this even before a vote was cast. He's already doing it - look at his tweet from Saturday: "I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!"

Alarmingly, he is supposedly thinking of running for president again in the next election…

"White House reporters have been saying that despite his objections, Mr Trump is expected to leave office begrudgingly in January and is already talking about running for the White House again in 2024."

Yeah I agree if it was happening here I would be interested in it and maybe even be slightly worried about the heads of departments that are being sacked but would probably think if democrates were going to miss these heads of department that Trump is sacking so much they would probably just hire them again.I actually find it good that Trump is making it hard for sleepy joe and democrates who wanted to put Britian to back of queue not a lot of sympathy from me to be honest. And if sleepy joe wants to dictate our deals with Ireland before he will deal with us we should demand the dismantleing of all fences and walls along there border with mexico see how they like getting told what to do by foriegn powers.

Honestly I have no problem with you or anyone else being interested in what America does or who runs them .The thing I find strange is people over here have such strong dislike for the old fella trump it verges on hatred what has he done to you people? I just see it most in you the hatred or what seems to be hatred.

Yip totally agree with you he knows he is out and just acting up like a spoilt kid to be fair makes the election more interesting and humerous.I would not worry too much about him standing again he would need the American people to vote him in and really he never did anything much in his last time in power that hurt Britian too much to have you worrying. If what I'v heard from so called experts on tv US Brittish relations going to be a lot worse under sleepy joe.

Its just as well we live in a world where not everyone thinks like you and only things that immediately affect us are important. The only thing strange is your inability to understand that people can have an opinion on Trump who isn't American and believe he is bad news. I find it head scratching that I even have to explain this. If this is something you are only discussing because you are bored during furlough that is where you are at. Don't be an arse and knock people who take a deeper interest.

Think it's more than just an opinion on trump though by the way you speak about him it's like a deep seated hatred think most people over here don't have a very high opinion of Trump as a leader and can see he is like a big kid when he does not get his own way.For some reason a very large amount of Americans support him.Know lots of people don't particularly like him even dislike him but seems more by the way you talk about him.Seriously has he done something that makes you feel this way or just you feel this strongly about people who run other countrys?

The way that some people refer to 'sleepy' Joe tells us all we need to know about where they're coming from. It also seems that some of the people who hold the strongest views in support of Trump seem to know very little about how American democracy works. For example how the independent electoral commission oversees the fairness of elections. QAnon and the likes have a lot to answer for.
