I think this is one of the most troubling legacies of Trumpism, the assault on facts and science. Its brought conspiracy theories from fringe nuts straight in to The White House and we have seen a global spread of off the wall CT's.
One of the main skills of Trump has been to utilise the power of twitter and speak directly to his followers and then appropriate the term fake news and direct his followers to dismiss anything that is critical.
Qanons are struggling at the moment as this wasn't supposed to be part of the Q plan, although some are trying to create a new narrative that this has all been planned to expose corruption in the system and Trump will come out victorious. Of course Q never mentioned any of this in his q drops.
