Johansson or Blackman?

The only issue I have with Blackman is when he has his hands up in the air while opponents are taking a penalty. By all means do it before but not when the ball is going to be kicked.

If you have no idea why this matters try jumping with your hands up in the air then try it without.

Iv never played professional football but I was a keeper in school and I can tell you now you always used your arms to catapult yourself to one side of the net.
Still confused then look at them penalties at that Scotland game and watch keepers arms. Now tell me how can you save a god damn penalty with your hands raised up in the air like you was being held up at gun point?

Blackman not got the movement or quick enough reactions. Johansson looks a no. 2 keeper to me. Got to get keeper right. Vickers for me at Swansea.

I watched the Birmingham penalty. I stopped the video at the moment the kick is struck. Blackman has his arms by his sides. He brings his arms down before the penalty is struck and just before he moves.

Watched all 3 now. He simply does not leave his arms up. Norwich and Reading even more so than Birm. Both of those his arms are by his side and taken a step forward and to his right.

He only puts his arms down fully a split second before it’s kicked, during the run up his arms are up

When the ref blows his whistle for the penalty his arms should be down

I reckon I would look good in the net if there was a good well coached defence playing in front of me.

A defence that doesn't score own goals, give away penalties can play the offside trap and generally clear the ball from free kicks and corners.

Even if I faced a penalty and stood completely still then the kick taker would hit me every so often or put the ball into row Z

Hmm..looking at the position of the kicker it does suggest that Blackman should be in a more crouched, ready to dive position.

But hey, I'm no keeper and we are talking split seconds here.
