Some facts you won't find the government telling you, nor will they make the BBC News, and this took some digging out of the NHS website , but I got there in the end.

The government tells us we have to be locked down, put under house arrest, in order to 'save the NHS', to avoid it being overwhelmed by the 2nd wave. So how close is the NHS to being overwhelmed ? Below are the occupancy rates for critical care beds in each region of the NHS.

The first figure is the average % November occupancy rate for the 5 years 2015-2019, the second figure is the % occupancy rate as of November 8th 2020, a week ago.

East of England...80.62----70.15
London...85.79----73.65
Midlands...84.48----75.18
North East & Yorkshire...78.92----68.23
North West...85.88----78.97
South East...85.24----75.09
South West...82.06----69.66

In every region the NHS has more capacity at the moment than the average of the last five years, the NHS is nowhere near being overwhelmed, yet we are told it is. Why are they putting thousands of people out of work and destroying thousands of businesses on the basis of a lie ? I really don't know the answer, beats me.
