Indeed, but having spent a fair bit of time 'investigating' (=Googling ) during the early days I could find zero hard evidence of this. He's a very well connected and successful chap and not short of a bob or three but I've yet to be convinced by the billionaire rumour.

Pity we never knew who RT was speaking to when in talks with some Danish billionaire. Wonder if PP still looks on here or even goes to any games?

Also, everyone who plays there will want to beat them now they are the new big boys in the league, which could work in our favour . . . maybe.

Once they don't get promotion and the CEO is aking them for a few more million to buy players etc and no return on their investment the novelty will soon wear off!
Let's face it if you are a Wrexham fan that has put up with 10 years in non league you will be over the moon with this.
We don't know what their plans are, they might get peed off when the novelty wears off but they might also get some of their Hollywood contacts to join them. Best of luck to them I say, 18 months ago we would be ecstatic if they bought us.

I hope for the sake of Wrexham fans these guys are not just in it for the clicks and column inches.
My thoughts too ncfog. Our new owners did have an interest in football before they bought us and are continuing to invest in us. Maybe these two actors have an interest too but they appear to be in it for a laugh and admit that Wrexham was more or less just a name and "Why not Wrexham?" as if it were just a nice name.

They say their immediate investment is £2 million and that's not bad for non-league ambition but let's see how far their interest stretches if they have to spend a year or two in the doldrums. Even when, or if, they get promoted and they start needing better, more expensive players, then they'll see £2M is peanuts.

A "Global force" eh? We'll see.

P.S. I've never heard of either of them too.
