Rafa has said in interviews when asked if he was to be our next gaffer has said "No, not really". He is still under contract in China and on mega bucks....
Love to see him get the job but does anybody on here really think we'll get him?
Just sat here wondering when it will all be announced hopefully this coming week so that we can all move on with things....
Is it coincidence that Rafa is back in the country?
Currently going through isolation due to coming back from China..
Nothing yet been mentioned...
Will the announcement both takeover and new manager be as soon as he’s able to leave home?
Here’s hoping guys....

Don't know whats taking so long being as Mel has been in discussions with them since May, has it spooked Mel to find he may not be as loaded as he had Mel believe, one conspiracy theory is becaue he had to pass the owners and directors test then Derby was an easy target seeing as Mel was thorn in the EFL's side they could use this as a means to get rid of Mel quickly by allowing the takeover but now the Sheik has passed to test he can move onto another club, thats one theory why its taking so long.
My own theory is the long he takes the more in the 5h1t we fall and the cheaper we become lol!
Rafa....hmmm i don't know, he said he's not interested so that means his signature is imenent, he can be bought out of a contract especially if we're going to be as wealthy as some think, he's in the UK as the chinese league has finished I believe but is self isolating as per guidelines
Regardinf Benitez never say no! All this changeover stuff is no good for anyone, we need clarity as soon as possible. Hope the new owners come in quick get the broom out and get this club sorted! Rooney and Co are not the answer. I'm hoping for a new experienced manager who brings in his own backroom staff. A major change in management is needed!
What I know about investment really isn’t worth knowing...but is it possible that a managerless side at the foot of the second tier, with no match day income since early last March and little prospect for the foreseeable future isn’t as attractive a proposition as it originally was?
I dont think we are necessarily any worse a prospect to buy than a few weeks or months ago. Anyone buying into the club must know our impoverished nature both in terms of money and playing staff (look at how last season ended as a guide to the start of this). A buyer will have known it needed a lot of money to meet ambitions, and negotiated accordingly. He might knock a few quid off the price Mel gets, but the investment in the club to get to PL level (Assming that is the target) is still immense and was immense before
The thing is as a prospect for development the club is a very good option, a good stadium with 30K attendances when things are going well, the potential to expand that to 45K if required. Top notch training ground and facilities. Handily situated in the middle of the country geography wise so attracting players not an issue - something that historically clubs like Norwich and Ipswich have struggled with and again able to attract a good fan base.
So in essence its a good manager and coaching staff and building a team of players thats required.Which sounds simple and obviously isn't but its a lot easier if one does not ahve to spend millions on club infrastructure.
Assuming he is buying the stadium, that is?
