Yeah, great night. Locked in after the match then escorted to the station. Unfortunately for us , we had traveled by car and parked up a cul-de-sac which we were marched promptly past. We shouted at the polis, "we're no on the train, oor cars up there" to which one replied "orders are orders, you are all going to the station"

We had to wait till the crowds dispersed and sneak back towards Old Trafford hopefully unnoticed. Then when we got to the car we got pelters from locals for parking in their "residential area"

What a night. Drove up from Leicester with a Leicester fan. He says how many will you lose by then? I said to him you don't know much about this Dundee United team do you?

Luckily the rain stayed off but the pitch was shocking. United were magnificent. Could have folded but never say die.

The Leicester fan couldn't believe how good we were and was amazed at our big passionate support.

Got back to Leicester and managed a lock in at the local. A pity we never got the rub of the green in the second leg though.
Was at that too. Unlucky og didn't help.
But I think it was that Manchester game that made the English sit up and realise we had a top side.

Shows you the arrogance of the English media. You are correct but why on earth should it have needed the game in Manchester in the first place? Surely the fact we’d nearly got to the phucking European Cup Final just six months previously was enough to alert them that we were a top side.
