The whole managerial appointment thing depends entirely on the resources that the party acquiring us has at his disposal and is prepared to throw at it. Nobody knows, so honestly, all this guesswork as to who might be coming in is just so much wasted hot air. Any of the candidates from Benitez to the current Chesterfield manager might be under consideration depending on budgets; same with spending in January transfer window. No-one knows, or if they do, they aren't saying, so be patient and stop second guessing yourself.

As to where McClaren fits in, same applies. Someone will have a grand plan, just that we don't know it. As for ratification of McClaren by new board - (a) there isn't one yet, legally, so it cant have ratified anything but (b) that future "board", as directors designate, whoever it may be, will surely have been involved in the process of hiring and role definition and thus unofficially have sanctioned it, unless the takeover is an unholy screw up: which we have to hope it isn't.

So, don't worry your pretty little head about it. Time will give you answers.

Its hard to know where to pitch answers to someone who, by his own words, claims to know nothing about takeovers whatsoever. Forgive me if my response was too simplistic and assumed a level of knowledge that you found patronising.

But some things have moved on - the change of person with significant control was switched on Friday 27th between one of Mel's companies (Sevco 5112) and another - (Gellaw 203). Not immediately obvious why and maybe its just tidying up a loose end from the deal which flipped the stadium out of the Gellaw 203 sub group and into the Gellaw 202 sub group.

And also at the beginning of the moth the loan from Rams Investment Limited was repaid, presumably out of teh Dell money, and the charge against the assets and ground discharged
