Haven't we dropped points (two) against a team in the bottom 5 of the national league again ?
so we have beat a team I have never heard of , and got a lucky away win , and a draw against a bottom 4 team away from home.
stuff that promotion is built on , maybe not.
I don't think anyone or certainly not me can argue it's not been a mixed bag so far. I do think Covids played a part perhaps slightly more than most teams. I think signing 2 foreign players who had to integrate and not played since Feb/Mar was a challenge especially with the loss of Dennis. Also who knows what effect the playoff final loss had on the players, you hear many pundits rightly or wrongly talking about hangovers from these things, look at Forest, blew up at the end of the season and they haven't recovered.
I just think despite that we are in a healthy league position, I also don't think it matters we have harder teams to play because IF we fully get in our stride this team will beat a lot of decent teams as we did Barrrow last season away and if not and we end up mid table then I think fair enough it will be time for a change.

Sorry but you have broken the rules. You are not allowed to mention:
    Covid (no excuse)
Other teams (because they are struggling doesn't mean we should)
Barrow last season (we were lucky)

Then we play Daggers away, everyone bar deluded Davy says we played well, attacking football created lots of chances but wasted them. We were positive, creative, wasteful, and unlucky. Virtually everyone who watched the game said the same but ultimately it's 2 points dropped it often is when you draw a game.

Don't watch the game, see the scoreline afterwards and glance at the league table and it becomes a negative but does not tell the whole story.
Funny enough Dag & R thought the same , and that they deserved to win the game, and had a perfectly good goal ruled out, perhaps that why the ref never gave the penelty to balance the books , and then they missed 2 really good chances, yet we had a solid defense - rubbish

Dag & R are a poor team that are right near the bottom, to be champions we have to beat these teams, and notts still cant break them down, same old story. But hey we did so well, no we did not

And its you that is deluded - So what you watched the game, gives you no more credibility to post your biased views, than anybody listening to the commentary, or stallard and his team

Mr X I think you are the one doing the spinning.
you've put more spin on stuff than Shane Warne on his leg spinner 1st ball to mike Fatting !
and my Hot Point washer on Spin Dry.
Wealdstone are a semi pro side , do you not think we should beat a team of this nature ? in form or not ?
if not why not , do you agree they are a better team than us with meagre facilities and a better manager ?
Chesterfield were a bottom 5 side who we struggled to beat and who were the better team on the day.
Daggers were bottom five a team we should expect to beat if we wish to gain promotion.
the same with Maidenhead Aldershot , Dover , Halifax.
in the Ardley fans eyes you feel justified that all is well because we have won 2 and drawn one .
Look at the bigger picture and you will see all is not well.
Don't watch the game look at the league table it doesn't tell the whole story know , not unless you dig deep and see that we keep losing to teams that were positioned in the bottom five.

... FWIT, I watched the game. We played well, didn't take our chances. Both sides rode their luck. Started to listen to Radio Red in the hope of a synced commentary ... which didn't happen. The part that I listened to in no way represented the game; I wondered if Slater and Stall had been on the pop. Switched to the local commentary - they hadn't done their homework on players names - but that apart, their general praise of Notts was sound. Better to watch if you can ...

Spot on. The commentators were good and recognised that Daggers were really in a battle. It did make me smile though that when he obviously didn't know who had shot he kept saying 'I think it was Doyle'.

So the league table doesn't tell the whole story ... yet when we have been near the bottom we are always told 'The table doesn't lie'.

I do not give a rats arse that Notts had many chances, and should off had a penelty- the point is that they did not score. And in the end could have lost, when they missed 2 good chances. So how can we have such a great defense , if they nearly scored 2 goals ??

Always the same story , notts had lots of chances , but never take them- then lose or nearly lose late on.

I remind you that Dag & R are a poor outfit, right down near the bottom

And if all you pro Ardley fans, do not like it, you know what to do ..
Me a pro Ardley fan ha ha ha. Good one, shut up you twonk.

@Davy, yes if someone watches the game their comments have more credibility than someone who listened to someone else watching it and they in turn have more credibility than someone who didn't watch or listen and just read the scoreline after the game finished.

That's not revolutionary, that's nothing new that's just logical. Does anyone disagree other than Deluded Davy?

@Pedro that's my point in this league you can positively or negatively spin every opponent in this league. The 'No Agenda' crew can say we are bigger then them (Torquay), I've never heard of them (Wealdstone), they are out of form (Chesterfield), they used to be 2/3 divisions below us recently (Stockport) , you can do it for every side and all of the above have or will happen. People choose to ignore the league table about our opponents but never about Notts???? Funny that

It's not looking good for top spot too many poor performances to be confident but teams drop points. That's football. Nobody was talking about Torquay as being early runaway leaders at the start of the season. If they keep up anywhere near the form they are in now they will deserve the title and we can have no complaints

NCM is a spin zone hot spot a fantastic array of examples I enjoy reading them.
