    Haven’t seen those other films but I think it’s a German/Austrian tradition.

    Personally I think the idea of Santa’s evil brother coming to scare naughty kids is a good and one we should adopt.

    You're right, I just looked it up and Krampus is a common tale in most Central and Eastern European countries, I think one of the foreign Krampus films we watched was Swedish which is probably why I thought that. Either way it is a great concept as you suggest.

    Going back in time and a film I first saw back around Christmas time in 1956 yes 1956, was Walt Disney's Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier...even had a Davy Crockett hat...

    Years on I bought the DVD from Amazon I like to watch it around Christmas time (although the wife and grandkids are not too keen) But this year because of COVID and self isolating I can fill my boots...

    My mum made me and my friends Davy Crockett hats out of an old fur coat in the mid 50s, happy days.
