Sevco cruised to the win but loads of positives for us.

Liking the look of Fuchs as our enforcer, pity he's not got good enough creative player beside him.

Good first half performance, scrappy 2nd half when we offered zero threat, midfield tired a bit and defenders started shelling it. Not much of a Calvary charge at end when we had nothing to lose.

Morelos should have had red, soft free kick for 2nd goal, stupid free kick for first. At least goal difference not dented.

Think a combination of losing the goal on half time and them coming down the slope seconds half didn't help

Still they didn't score second half and as you say, goal difference minimal damage

Away to hibs, I feel we can hit them z we need to strike the right balance as they aren't in sevcos league, let's not show them too much respect, its a winnable game

I thought it was soft free kick for 2nd goal, it was linesman that gave it. Stupid free kick for first, some finish to be fair. Think Fuchs looking decent, will get stronger with more games, still lacking in that area of park though.

Watched it on Rangers TV. Commentary was no bad One thing I noticed was the respect the commentators had for us. They called it as it was. Mentioned how hard it would be to beat us. Mentioned the system we use and how that might restrict them to set pieces. Actually knew about formations and how it would be hard to unlock them. Maybe MM is doing something right

Lessons to be learned, on the park, off the park, and..... DUFC media team.

Agreed. The rangers commentary team were pretty fair. Regarding the game--is that it? Just there to prevent the other team playing? Are they being told to just clear their lines and reorganize for the next attack? Anything else is just a bonus. Dire.

Team worked hard and fought well today, and never got turned over. Didn’t expect us to take anything, but for a few lapses in concentration, may well have done. Hopefully build on that next week, but we need to start creating more up front (than we have done against other teams in the league).

We won't be able to create though as Japan says, clear the danger, re-group, etc etc.... When the mentality is just to get behind the ball asap, it is hard to then move forwards and express yourselves, leading to no or nearly nout in ammunition for our strikers, who.... are also defending.

I can live with the not getting beat too much to stay in the league until normality kicks in again, but watching my beloved team play like this is breaking my heart. Needs must , I know, but, roll on 2021

There was a very clear gameplan today. Made sense to be solid defensively, but set up to try and exploit space in behind their marauding full backs. Worked ok a couple of times in the first half. Hard for the midfield 2 to dominate against a strong midfield 3 for them. Shankland did well with his back to goal in the first half.

2nd half, they just completely forced us back. Much harder to exploit any space and Shankland just couldnt hold it up (noticeable Davis and Kamara got really close to him to prevent it).

Even with the tricky run of games coming, I can see us picking up points against teams less good than Rangers.

Wouldnt be overly doom and gloom personally.

We started the season playing decent football and getting decent results......I get that it’s a results business but we got points and performances for a few games at the beginning. A 4-0 defeat to rangers and a 4-0 defeat on plastic is absolutely no reason to completely turtle and change the whole process. We’re not picking up more points with this ridiculously turgid football than we were at the start of the season playing decent stuff.

The performance and game plan today was acceptable due to the team we were playing. Doing it against Livingston, Hamilton and st Mirren at home is not.
