I support the team and want them to play at the highest level they possibly can. I want to see my team players pitted against the very best players from other teams. We watch them and hope they'll win. Winning means a chance of promotion and promotion means premiership. I can understand the feelings of it will change us, but what's the alternative? Mid table mediocrity? It not mattering about results as long as we're not relegated? I'd end up wishing for a relegation battle just for the excitement if that was the case. I still want that chance to see my team play at the top level otherwise what's the point?
That kind of thinking puts clubs into massive debt you need lots of money and top notch international sales teams and big crowds to buy your stuff on top of top players. running costs use to be about 6 million to play in the championship must be 10 million now the prem your talking 60/70 million a season over 100 million for ya top 6, in the top flight we wouldn't even be minnows wed be plankton swallowed up with massive debt.
