Think that was the point Oz was making, that the success we are having is largely on the back of players who got us promoted, with (at this moment) contributions from the newcomers being in some cases (Koch, Lllorente) limited through no fault of the player, but limited nonetheless, and from others their playing record has been limited by virtue of starting team selection (Rodrigo) or latecomer in the transfer window (Raphina). They may be all we want of them, but it's hardly a certainty for anyone, and only time will tell.
Comments about "Little Englanders" comes a bit rich when the record of new players is as mixed as it is, but then again, some posters are stuck in a rut.
I wish you would actually read what I post instead of your usual knee jerk response simply because it's me who posted it. Koch may well have been thrown in at the deep end, not disagreeing on that at all, and his early performances showed it for sure! However he now faces an extended period off through injury/surgery (as I said in #21, limitations on playing time through no fault of the player). 11 games (and subbed for the match against Chelsea) isn't enough to show he (or any other new player with the same record of matches played) is the "next great thing", although as per your usual effort, you choose to use this thread to have a go at the "little Englanders" who had the temerity to question some of the newcomers suitability.
You may be proved right, but I'll celebrate each game and the performances the players give on its own merits rather than conclude with only a third of the season played. As you say, this is the best league in the world, and experience outside it is no more than a guide, and as you well know, some "good bits of business" turn out to be clowns or lard-ar5e5, (or both).
Think all the signings this season have been very good and have improved the quality of the squad in a big way.
Kock has been very good and shows he is improving all the time. In his one game Llorente also looked a player.
Raphinha and Rodrigo are top quality and as they develop more of an understanding they will be a joy to watch.
The youngsters look good too but will need time to develop.
It’s also been pleasing how the likes of Ayling, Dallas and Klich have stepped up and don’t look out of place. Alioski has shown he can cut it at this level. Bamford impresses with how he continues working at and on his game and improving - adding goals he may not have scored two seasons back too.
Orta has put in place a very good set up.
