Must they ? You really need to do your homework OC, just have a look at the GOV.UK website, there you'll discover that deaths are "people who had had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test."

And that's it, no more and no less, that will include then, anyone who has fallen off a ladder, under a bus, RTAs or simply from old age, anything at all in fact, doesn't have to have anything at all to do with infection or Covid. Thought you would have known this by now, how much else is there you don't know ?

Incidentally, was I right, did you get your fanciful idea that the 2nd Wave referred to 'cases' from the BBC and/or Grauniad, you couldn't have made that one up yourself could you.

If lockdowns don’t work why are most countries using them. It worked in aching where they were locked down for 6 months.
You are a man of common sense. If people can’t mix then they can’t spread any infections to others and as their immune system kills off the virus the virus should die out. However if people ignore lockdowns and don’t wear masks when they have the virus and no symptoms then it spreads, schools are spreading it as they aren’t locked down.
Simple really.

Why do I want to read a website of unknown origin no details of organisers or who gets the money, with aims to undermine public health messages by misquoting people or selectively quoting them and providing a mouthpiece for disenfranchised scientists.

This is what it has been building up to for many years with the 'nanny' state having become the norm for so much of the population who just moan when something goes wrong and then expect someone to tell them how to put things right. In short, so many people have lost the ability to think for themselves and to use their own common sense and deductive powers to sort things out, therefore, they hang onto every word spoken from on high and believe it is gospel.
Interesting that one of those involved in the recent U-turn was the infamous Professor Ferguson who had supposedly been dumped for his misdemeanours earlier in the year but who has been involved with NERVTAG who give advice to SAGE!
