Carrots and parsnips in mulled cider .... oooh now. Ah can see how that wid work! ... and in my opinion, carrots an' parsnips are nae jist for xmas! ... hae tae try this sometime.

For the record, ma real 'push the boat oot' item ... the halloumi tray bake wis good ... but only as good as expected. Ma bacon wrapped sassidges wi caremellised maple syrup wis a bit 'yasss min' .... the roast carrots and parsnips wi garlic, salt and thyme dressin wis likewise, but the surprisinly good item wis, on paper, the maist borin! .... Oven roasted (LidL, frozen) chicken breast wi olive oil, mixed herbs and smoked paprika ... a real 'find'!

..... the soup wis good ... but, hey, Ah always mak a good soup. As for the puddin? ... massive hit! ... the mandarin oranges were relegated tae the subs bench, but Ah can fully recommend - for cheapness and satisfaction - slices o' cherry cake, alongside rasp jeely, assaulted from above wi' vanilla yoghurt, and bombarded wi choc coated peanuts.

Onywye ... aa the bestive for the festive ... and ... COYR!
