Mwell should have won that comfortably today but thought we should have had a pen when McNulty got caught late after getting his shot away. Thought McMullan was ok today up to his final ball/cross, but that is McMullan, especially on the wing. He does bring something to the team. He wasn't alone with the crossing though, it really was terrible from most players today, and we don't have a great aerial presence in there so the delivery has to be good. Even Clark who was decent when he came on won a couple of cheap free kicks then hit the first defender with his deliveries. Agree Butcher should have been off at half-time or early second half, Fuchs looks like he is capable of doing that defensive job on his own for some of these games.

I think if we hold back Fuchs as a defensive mid then we loose quite a bit of what good he has done in recent games.

McMullans problem is that he gets the ball that often then does nothing with it. It's then so apparent, as he does get the ball more than most players. Eventually their centre half was mopping up everything as his trademark 'put it one way and run past the full back the other way' was simply far too predictable. I think he had one cross the whole game that came off as well. He is so frustrating. For all the possession he has in a game, to do nothing with it is criminal.

Think we are running the risk of being overly negative about today. We didnt play great. Few players had a poorer game than for a while. Despite that we got something out the game. Actually I was expecting us to equalise the whole time.

Positives - we tried to do the right things. Just didnt come off (in what was a horrible day to play football).
    Fuchs is a definite positive
Hit the post, nearly won it with the last attack, had one/two decent penalty shouts. Actually got no break of the ball or decisions going our way. Showed our versatility with this time switching to the back 3. Their chances came from our brain farts playing out from the back.....and from losing a man from a corner.

Here we now sit 12 points clear of 12th and 11 points clear of 11th. Picking up points whilst not playing our best.

Wouldnt criticise individuals too much at all. They will all have poor games at times, that's the level we play at.

Was going to make the same point about the conditions not making for good football (though same for both teams), but definitely wouldn’t have helped crossing into the box.
But still some poor decision making and “unforced errors” with passing. We seem to find it difficult to make space for ourselves (or are too willing to make tight passes when they’re not really on). Need to improve our work off the ball in possession.

A point apiece. Daylight robbery, really. Motherwell will be kicking themselves."
