    Grant - Needs Shooting Practice

Easy chance against Man City and now a lame shot against Liverpool. FFS how many chances does this guy want and both shots so soft!!

Beginning to think Austin would be better and that says something!!!

Not a great save from the Liverpool keeper? That's what the commentators said. He actually had a really good game today.

He played better but he should have buried that shot - more of a poor finish than a good save as it was soft and straight at him - similar to the Man City shot!

    Oh for a ruthless striker!

I wonder if opposition fans say the same when their strikers shots hit Johnstones legs? Two city players against city for example. I just think if a striker gets lots of chances and buries a few everyone's happy. Grant hasn't exactly had the luxury of a lot of chances. Maybe that will change now. who knows?

Its probably down to comfedence, he don't get all that many chances if we get some link up midfielders in the window to give him support i think he'll do ok , he did last season ,

Its all about confidence. I agree, I think he could be a really good striker. We shall see.

Confidence does help but we will always only have a few clear cut chances and they need to be buried more times than not. Gayle was ruthless and he’s never been replaced even in the championship! Zohore is useless - Kanu tries but not good enough and Austin has no pace whatsoever. So rightly or wrongly many are hoping Grant is another Gayle in front of goal!

Gayle would do better if Sawyers and Livermore were replaced by a couple of decent midfielders at this level - like Gallagher who will certainly have a great future!

Its been a while since a central WBA striker has outpaced a defender, especially from a top club , so that was nice to see.
Hope he is not a nearly man.
BUT his overall game was better tonight, Big Sams simple style mayjust suit him.
Sawyers through ball was great, - credit where its due!

I thought he had a pretty decent game, he actually did a decent job of holding the ball up 2nd half and he created that chance by outpacing the defender. We don't have many players who can do that.

I also feel for him a little, there was one occasion 1st half where he was on the left wing and all I could see was a sea of red shirts around him and no Albion players in sight. I would persevere with him, I think if he can score 6/7+ goals he will have had a good season in this team.
