My daughter-in-law, a GP in Sheffield, was a volunteer in the development of the Oxford vaccine and she has had the vaccine, is still alive, in spite of the fact that her main daily rounds mean that she is in several care homes in order to deal with the elderly.

My son, a Paramedic in London and on the front line, has not even been offered anything up to now, even though a few of his colleagues have died with the virus ---all in their 50s. To be honest, my son has been hauled over the coals because he queried the fact that, right from the start, the ambulance crews did not have the correct PPE and were sent out to deal with infected people without the proper equipment.
