Can't see much activity in the January window.
Appere's a strange one. Frozen out by the manager yet he's one of the only players on our books who other clubs may try and come in for either in January or the summer. Would like to know exactly why the manager doesn't rate a player who was linked with a £2.5M move away from the club just last season.

The boy was coming onto a great game last season. He was then shoved out wide and continued to play well. Neilson dropped him for his love child Pawlett claiming he risked burnout, and he's barely had a look in since. He's surely worth a run of games?

Not saying he isn't. I agree he could fit in somewhere in the team just now. Was just commenting on why he went from the messiah (too far I know) and the price you mentioned , to being left stagnating on the bench. He also was good for Shanklands game.

Not convinced he has the pace that was once mentioned, and playing him against fullbacks down the line is never gonna be his best position. He can still be effective through the middle or just behind , but where does he fit in now with Clark,McNulty & Shankland ?

Would hate to see him loaned out though, but that might mean more bench time , which he might be opposed to.

It's a head scratcher tbh. Maybe something has gone on we're not getting told but it seems unlikely given he seems to be a very good pro.

Fwiw I would have started him ahead of Harkes or Pawlett v Celtic. Puts himself about, strong in the tackle and would have offered support in our attacks. I know he's not a midfielder but.....you know the rest, I've been saying it for months.

I'm still trying to get over that team selection gaffe by Micky, it's baffling. Appere did look a bit lost for confidence in the games he did play in, maybe MM criticism early doors had a negative effect instead of a positive one. It's always hard to know how a young player is going to react when the manager replays a video of a game back.

Will be interesting to see if Appere stays in the January window, if I was Neilson I'd be queuing up for Louis before Callum B.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Hearts come in for both. Would be gutted if Appere went tbh but I think he would. He can't be happy not even getting off the bench.

As for the selection gaffe. Not playing Powers is the biggest head scratcher of the season imo. For MM to actually think a midfield three of Pawlett, Harkes & Clark is a better option than Powers is mind boggling.

Dundee United have submitted a bid for Airdrieonians forward Thomas Robert in a bid to steal a march on Rangers and Celtic, Football Insider understands.

Was just about to post this.

Be interesting to see where it goes. A goalscoring right winger. Badly required.

Nice to see we're in a position to make signings if nothing else.

He's only scored 2 more goals than Mochrie in the same league
