The football celebrations after a goal now are so boring. Player scores, runs and slides on his knees to the nearest corner flag, turns and waits for his team mates to run to him and leap on him or whatever. This was just the same when the fans were in the ground. Whatever happened to the interaction between scorer and fans celebrating together. Astle running to the fans with arms aloft and taking the adoration. Even Hughsie running to the fans and doing his stupid dance. I miss players disappearing into the crowd getting mobbed by ecstatic fans. It seems to me that the fans don't really matter anymore and a player celebrates with his team mates more because the goal probably means a financial bonus and that is far more important.
