TV money is most likely the reason that Dundee will have put theirs on.

Exactly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were given assistance by the TV company to ensure it was on too.

I'd hazard a guess that they've chosen Tuesday as the game is guaranteed to go ahead then due to the thawing temperatures, as opposed to tomorrow when it isn't to get above freezing. Certainly if the heating is f*cked.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest the club never put the undersoil heating on for cost reasons.

Normally the club would try hard to get a game on, with fans there as there would be money to be made. At the moment, it's just a huge cost, surely? The match can be played Tuesday, I don't see the big deal to be honest, given the farmers are just coming from Perth.

I'd say you were wrong. If the heating wasn't on at all, the entire pitch would be frozen solid, not just an area in the centre circle.

It does look like a pretty large area mate but its difficult to say with the picture i put up from the BBC.

If the heating was off completely and the entire pitch was frozen, the ref would've called it off immediately. There definitely wouldn't have been another inspection 1.5 hrs later. The entire pitch is in the shade so there's no way a surface that size would've thawed out.

Depends when the photo was taken. Assuming it's been taken Friday morning (23hrs prior to 10:30am when the photo was posted) when there was snow, then its entirely feasible the heating was on as snow still lies on the surface.
