That game tonight would have suited Edwards. The first goal was a replica of the Motherwell goal, we also carry little threat from corners, in fact we almost conceded from corner we had in 83rd min. Nicking goals from set plays can make a big difference over a season.

Agree about Edwards. May not have made a difference at the goal however depending on who he was picking up. That's our last two set piece goals against both been the fault of Robson. For a defender his marking at set pieces is so poor.

I know we still look a bit short but have played 19 games against all teams bar the old firm and only lost 4 games.
For all the worries about going into Premier with championship side don't think many fans can argue with that record. Hopefully kick on a bit next season when income opens up again.

    Bang on there like....
We can't win defensive or midfield headers unless they are total 90 per cent in our favour. We can't win offensive ones either because of the height difference. We really struggle against whipped in balls from crosses, corners or free kicks. Wee bit harsh I know, but like yirsel, I get the fear when these things happen, and.... they do.... a LOT :/

Yes but in auld money he would be on a post like i always was at leftback, never been good at headers unless under pressure away to the OF.

Worst thing about Shankland goal - no fans being behind the goal to go beserk

Heading wise would have suited Edwards because they are horrible hammer throwers. Ability on the ball wise, will always be happier to watch Neilson. I dont mind 17 yr olds making mistakes if they have positive attributes like he does.

3 at the back was 100% the correct way to start against them too. Switch to 4 at the back could have worked, but Smith's neck impacted on it. Bolton also had his worst game for us. Another young lad though, so that will happen.

Cant wait for the next game....or my next drink

Ok, horrible first goal to lose. Ok, bad mistake from the young lad for the second. I for one though am happy to forgive him that for how good he looks striding forward with the ball. In my view he is a real player.

Thought they depended on long balls and set pieces. We tried to play at times. Our first goal was top class. Our second was obviously brilliant.

Positives for me. Connolly - excellent throughout. Powers - thought he did pretty well, particularly when we did get the ball down. Harkes - best game of the season. Nice to see him bursting into the box and his first touch seemed better too. Clark - I thought he was the best player on the pitch. Moments of real quality. Appere - fell out the game, butbhow he started was as good as I have seen him play.

Most importantly we got something out of the game. Wasnt our best game, but flashes of really good stuff. On the flip side, as good as they can play to get a draw against us.

Agree or not. I am happy in my drink fuelled opinion!
I agree mate. There were plenty of positives

If we could have defended the set pieces we would have won. The way we started and the attacking play was brilliant.

I think team are developing. St J are decent and overall the draw was a fair result.

The team tonight was mostly our team from the championship and credit to Micky M - we are not getting relegated and have good chance of top 6 👍🏻
