    He is obviously a fan and he’s also used other Stones songs in his films. In fact there’s “Let it Loose” later in The Departed. I reckon he would’ve used Gimme Shelter in The Irishman but it’s set in the 50’s so it wouldn’t look/sound right!!

    Obviously Nicholson steals the show and it’s full of A-list actors but I like Ray Winstone's character Mr French (not the accent) in the film

    Merry Clayton's own version of the track is also pretty good.
