The point I am making (which is obviously over your head) is that we have players who can play football but yet our manager and his staff seem to think hoofball is the best we can do against the rest of the Championship teams.

If Warny stopped with this were not good enough attitude maybe we would get the best out of our players. Warny has used the excuse about injuries and losing players from the squad etc yet we go out and do that against Everton! Something is wrong somewhere dont you think?
Don't talk about things going over my head with posts like that. I've made my point, you've made yours, let's leave it at that.

Yes you are correct to shoot me down about things going over your head and I apologise for that remark because I do not know you from adam but there really is something wrong at the club when the team (which according to Warny is not our best team) can go out and outplay a Prem team yet struggle against Championship teams!

The players have proved that they are good enough it is now the turn of the manager and his staff to do the same.

PW has a competitive budget for Div One.
    He delivered both times, instantly
It took SUFC, with a much bigger budget than ours, about 7 seasons to get promoted from div one
Portsmouth, Sunderland, Oxford etc would love to have someone like PW as their Manager

Who is to say he won't deliver this season

Imo the lads have proved themselves quite a few times that they are capable but keep changing things about isn’t going to help anybody, that’s down to management who need to get the balance right before it’s too late

    He may

But the question was whether or not he's been given a fair chance

    No.
We're less than half way through the season.
We haven't seen who the new players are
We don't how the team will perform for the rest of the season now that the LTI's are returning

I'm impressed that PW has found Vass a new professional club. Progress already
I thought we'd be stuck with him until June

Do I think he’s the best manager in the league. No, I don’t. Add another £40k a week to our wage bill and I think he’d work wonders though

He’s getting too much abuse for doing a job where, to a degree, he’s got his hands tied behind his back.
Agree 100%. It makes me wonder what he could achieve with that little bit extra budget instead of the limited one he's having to work under. We're not a club that can afford to make too many huge mistakes as far as recruitment is concerned. Just be careful what you wish for as regards motivational managers.

Not a PW comment as such but there are many managers that just can't handle big budgets.

They end up splashing the cash on turkeys

What has a budget got to do with playing the right formation and using the right tactics? The players we have right now at the club have proved they are good enough to compete given the right tactics and formation. It's not all about money.

A budget has got nothing to do with tactics and how the team is set up, why on earth would it ?
People moan because he played 5-4-1, then 4-5-1 and now people moan because he's gone 3-5-2. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
Btw, he's far from being perfect but then who is ?
