I have read a few times he turned up unfit and overweight in the summer. Having said that, I think he's been one of our better players lately

I think the problem is getting other clubs to take players off our hands with or without a fee.

I suspect that a lot of our players are on contracts which pay them a lot more than they are worth. There are also not many clubs in the PL who would be interested in taking them.

All in all it makes for difficult times especially when clubs at all levels, but especially in the Championship and overseas which are far more reliant upon money through the turnstiles.

That said, as I have said on here for several years now, our Recruitment department just do not fill me with any confidence, despite I know challenges in getting the quality of player that we need.
