Thing I don't like about the Fun is their arrogance. The jealousy bit I can understand but the arrogance is why I'm always happy to see them fail.

They can't deal with fact that they're quite a small club and have been for a long time.

They hate us because we're a much bigger club and have been for a very long time.

Let's have a look at some facts.

1 their last set of accounts to the year ended 31st May 2019 showed a loss of £1.8 million.
The accounts to 31st May 2020 are likely to show the same or even more. Yet they've had a wishful thinking United Admin thread running on Dee Mad for about a year.

2 The new owners promised to buy back Dens. They didn't, and they won't. They're homeless tenants.

3 The DFC owners also promised to build a new stadium. The Dees lapped this up in the hope that they could change the balance of power in the city. Despite the fact that Dundee FC would not own a single share in the stadium company and would be tenants just like they are now. DFC remain a tenant at a run down stadium that looks like something from the 1950's.

4 Our stadium, which they ironically refer to as the Dump, had a makeover last summer.
It's a terrific stadium and not only that, we own it. They hate both of these things.

6 Our fanbase is about 4 times what theirs is.
That's another fact they hate. Our crowds were growing last year as were our season ticket sales this year. Their crowds and season ticket sales fell dramatically.

7 We have other fixed assets which we could if desired use as loan collateral. They don't.

8 We have saleable player assets, they don't

9 Anytime they get a small bit of success they get c0cky, as they always have done.

10 We are in the Premiership. They are in the Championship. They hate that.

11 We are spending big to build something. They are spending big to get out of the Championship. They might get up, they might not, risky but understandable.

So, they have a lot to be jealous about and it shows. I don't hate Dundee Football Club as such, but the arrogance of their fans means when they fail I celebrate.

Either owner could pull the plug at any time, something they seem to forget about their own precarious position. But as GB said, if I had to bet which one did I know where my money would be going.

    So to summarise Stoke,

    They’re The Funsters.

    The End.
