His work rate and energy makes him look better than he is.
Good prospect, but that's why he on loan.

I've also noticed that his form has dropped off of late. Mind you, it comes to something when we are relying on a young player on loan to keep our 'heads above water.'

He has no chance of making it at Chelsea, Loftus-Cheek is a far better player and still can't anywhere near their team, Gallagher has plenty of energy but doesn't have the technical quality he will be a very good Championship player but not quite good enough for the prem.

I thought he was limited today .... good energy .... but collapsed in a heap a few times when in a threatening position breaking into the box .... still good compared to what we have .... but he’s only a young kid and will get better ... I am glad we gave him ....

Great player, we would be bottom now if not for him. Let him have one average game. He's still first on the team sheet for me along with Snoddy. Guaranteed energy and workrate, and he's scored for us. It still amazes me that a lad can play so well and then have not such a good game and he's written off instantly. One minute we are expecting Chelsea to call him back in January and then he's suddenly not good enough?

We sometimes forget that he's only a young lad. Yes he has lost the ball in some very dangerous area as well.
Dont like his diving in the box, got booked once already for that but still had another few attempts yesterday.
I think Sam will have a word and tell him stick to some of the basics.
At the end of the day he always shows real determination, unlike many of the squad.
More importantly has something that many of the squad don’t have .........quality

He is young and a talent, needs better concentration on the defensive side but what can we expect given his age and experience
