Without being argumentative for the sake of it, surely the win percentage has nothing to do with the level the games are played at. The teams we are playing are at the same level as us whichever division we're in. Yes we have a strong budget for this division (top 4 I understand) but we also did in the division above as far as I am aware.

Disagree, surely it has to be relevant to the level you play at and your finances compared to your rivals. In League 2 we probably had a better budget than most, but at this level we are streets ahead of the majority, some of which are part-time. Notts County winning games in the National League has to be easier than Notts County winning games in League 2.

OK I take your point, the difference between the finances of teams in this division is indeed generally wider than in L2.

Don't you just hate this childish nicknames lol.

It's ok Ebenezer, I'm sure many people already consider you a joke with your player judgements , your failure to understand the concept of 'hindsight' when it comes to player signings and finally your 'nothing but negative' posts on here#balancenotbias

It's fine that's your thing, we get it. I'm just happy to highlight how wrong you were/are, and then watch you try and squirm your way out of it instead of just saying I got that one badly wrong.

    Slippery one aren't you .

Remember you never said Bird was better than Rawlinson, except the time when you said Bird was better than Rawlinson.

That was a thing of beauty, lighten up a bit and crack a smile every now and then.

As i said so far there win % over all games is about equal, but Ardleys have been at a lower level, so you would expect more wins, because the opposition are weaker
As for wimbledon his win rate was only 32% over his whole time there, pretty poor as his time there was split between L2 , where he did well, finally gaining promotion after 3 seasons , and L1 , having arrived in L1 Ardley struggled the 3 seasons he was in charge, barely staving of relegation, finally leaving before he was dismissed
As for his last 17 matches, not to mention the 3 poor years before it , is highly relevant, because that was his form when he was set on at Notts, hence he was on the decline in form, maybe if we had set him directly after he had got promotion, hence when he was rising, he might have done better
I am now beginning to understand why he plays negative and defensive football, probably all he could do with wimbledon to stave of relegation, and he thought he could do the same at Notts
Let’s just agree to disagree though I do agree he shouldn’t have taken the job at the time, it was a tough gig at Wimbledon and he’d had no break since playing and to walk into the shambles at Notts probably needed someone refreshed and ready.

Sounds like you believe a lot were sacked or left prematurely without us fans ever knowing how good or bad they were. That I couldn't agree with more. Horrible culture at the club for far too long.
Nice attempt at twisting the text laddo
However the managers sacked to soon had or displayed potential
ARDLEY hasn't displayed that at all.All he does his keep confirming that hes a poor manager.
Also and I think quite important is , Hes had two and a bit seasons to prove himself.
In my eyes hes failed , his negative approach is awful. We are a big fish in a small pond but he approached each game as if we are relegation fodder worrying about the opposition.
Hows about him making them worry about us for a change....!
Just a crazy thought, but it might catch on.

    How is it a contradiction?
I believe I was refering to managers that had shown abilities and had not had a decent amount of time to prove it.
ARDLEY displays no ability and has bucket loads of time (and support for chairmen)
    HARDLY a contradiction,see what I've done there..,!
