Yes its great to watch and at times we do get to see individual brilliance etc. However I think we more often play football by numbers, by this I mean the team utilises set plays/routines according to where and who has the ball and how the opposition are set up.

I think this is why a lot of new players take a while to integrate, (learning these set plays/routines), whilst existing players seem to improve as the team get better at selecting the right plays for the situation. Some might say this is just tactics however I feel we are even more structured than that.

In no way am I knocking it, its really interesting to see how its done.
Think there is some truth in that, but.....

Its the running, tracking back, fitness, determination and desire that are so different, even from most of the performances in the latter part if last season, that mark us out from just about every PL team.

Not a big fan of pundits, but it's also worth noting the consistency of what they are saying..."Leeds are a joy to watch, every time they take the field", "Great to have Leeds back in the Premiership", "A breath of fresh air", "Love watching Leeds, win lose or draw"

Not many teams get those kind of comments, certainly none of the "mid-table/newly promoted teams, and all with a 1st team made up as Pete says if the majority of those delivering middling performances a division down three seasons back.

Lineker and Carragher seem huge fans and even Gary Neville and Roy Keane like the way we play.

So Spurs, Arsenal (and possibly Everton and Villa), are only "average mid-table Championship sides"? Give your head a wobble.

And even if you were right (which you're not), we've given a good account of ourselves thatnot teams that you presumably do think deserve to be in the PL (Scared the sh1t out of Liverpool, made Leicester look ordinary when we beat them, unlucky against Sh1tty and Everton). And more or less all with that same core of middling Championship players Pete referred to.
