He's that rich as he isn't stupid. However, buying into our club and thinking he could make a profit does suggest otherwise. Ultimately though, he's been very unlucky with regard to timing and the pandemic.

I think, but may be mistaken, that their hotel counts toward the football club finances. Sure I read that somewhere.

Is it true that our owner is begging for money from some fans?I thought this was just more bluenose propaganda know that he asked the foundation to release money to help the club that they had raised to help the club but only heard of the begging from diddlies are you saying he is begging certain fans for help?Just because the man is worth a few million tens of millions or whatever does not mean he is going to put every penny into a football team even if he was a life long supporter everyone has a limit of what they are going to invest in any club be they owners supporters or whatever know I won't be selling my house and emptying my bank account and I have supported them all my life don't know if you think differently or just think some american should keep pumping never ending amounts of money into the club?

No, begging is a slight exaggeration. Don't take talk like that so literally. The fact he came in & announced he was expecting to make profit (unlikely), then a year down the line is asking for funds from, as GB says, ordinary fans, some of whom will be living on minimum wage, doesn't sit right with me. Of course we'll do it. We'll do it now, next year and forever more and he probably knows we'll do it, but for me this is the difference between having a Yank with no ties to the club whatsoever and say, having a lifelong fan who has the club at heart. I don't recall Eddie asking the fans to chip in to save the club. Again, we'll do it and always will as we love the club, but the man needs to open his eyes a bit. He's invested in our club and should realised how big a deal this is. You can't go and buy success then plead poverty when things don't work out. He's just emptied the coffers at DUSF when he probably has 100 times that amount sitting in a bank account somewhere.

Of course you can and I'd suggest it's a common thing TBH. I know what you are getting at but, let's be honest here, it's a purely business decision for him, nothing more.

Wow, that isn't much at all in the grand scheme of things. Enough to ensure they made profit right enough.

Agree with the above and the last sentence is true but FN embarrassing to say the least, not only has he emptied out the DUSF its 40K short at this time to even give him the whole 100K,why is this i hear you ask?.
Its simple to explain they have already given him the rest of the money to put towards the future development of Gussie. What the owner and i can only assume his Sporting Director failed to understand is how this would be perceived by those in the media and rival fans who would love to see our club collapse.
In my honest opinion the money Ogren asked for is a drop in the ocean to the club but our reputation has been damaged by him even asking for it.The impression many will have drawn is that we were on the point of collapse whereas i think it was more a case of the owner throwing his toys oot the pram saying,"This is not fair why are we even playing football?,and why do i keep having to write check's?."
