No, begging is a slight exaggeration. Don't take talk like that so literally. The fact he came in & announced he was expecting to make profit (unlikely), then a year down the line is asking for funds from, as GB says, ordinary fans, some of whom will be living on minimum wage, doesn't sit right with me. Of course we'll do it. We'll do it now, next year and forever more and he probably knows we'll do it, but for me this is the difference between having a Yank with no ties to the club whatsoever and say, having a lifelong fan who has the club at heart. I don't recall Eddie asking the fans to chip in to save the club. Again, we'll do it and always will as we love the club, but the man needs to open his eyes a bit. He's invested in our club and should realised how big a deal this is. You can't go and buy success then plead poverty when things don't work out. He's just emptied the coffers at DUSF when he probably has 100 times that amount sitting in a bank account somewhere.

Of course you can and I'd suggest it's a common thing TBH. I know what you are getting at but, let's be honest here, it's a purely business decision for him, nothing more.

Agree with the above and the last sentence is true but FN embarrassing to say the least, not only has he emptied out the DUSF its 40K short at this time to even give him the whole 100K,why is this i hear you ask?.
Its simple to explain they have already given him the rest of the money to put towards the future development of Gussie. What the owner and i can only assume his Sporting Director failed to understand is how this would be perceived by those in the media and rival fans who would love to see our club collapse.
In my honest opinion the money Ogren asked for is a drop in the ocean to the club but our reputation has been damaged by him even asking for it.The impression many will have drawn is that we were on the point of collapse whereas i think it was more a case of the owner throwing his toys oot the pram saying,"This is not fair why are we even playing football?,and why do i keep having to write check's?."

The difference is the FOH was not asked for money to bail them out of a pandemic crisis, they have signed 12 players since Neilson came in including a good few in January.
Our Foundation is being perceived by the media as saving the club from oblivion not improving it.

The FOH don't seem to be needed to be asked to bail the club out in pandemic they donate millions to the club.Hearts also have a lot of rich benifactors pumping millions into them and were given 5x the 100,000 from the scottish goverment so really don't think there owner has to worry to much about money. The scottish media are slagging utd for there fans helping them out in a pandemic whats new scottish media or a large part of it have hated utd since rancid decided it was utd's fault they died so will always have a go at utd rancid fans and diddlies will always lap it up along with some of our own .

He really has not taken over Dundee utd to get rid of his millions. He is not like eddie who was a diehard fan who sadly was dying and splashed out millions and put utd in millions of debt to try and win something. The foundation is there to raise money to help utd when they need it most or that is what I thought they were there for?The money the raise is to help utd not to fill it's coffers and have hundreds of thousands in the bank.I honestly don't think he would have thought of investing in utd if he had foreseen the pandemic and knew how much it would cost him.I have no Idea how much he has put into utd but guessing it is a lot more than me or any other normal supporter.Really if you or anyone else who is in the foundation are annoyed that he asked them to release money to help utd when utd are desperate for funds then maybe you should think about why you are putting money into the foundation.

The foundation is there to help the club but its main ambition's as far as i am aware were to help with capital projects and investing in the future development of players.
It is of course also there to help the club in times of crisis which i grant you the whole world is currently in but let's be honest here we are not going to look back on the pandemic and say that the £100,000 paid in instalment's by the DUSF saved the club from ADMIN.
The owner inadvertently has the media and many fans thinking that we are at a cliff edge and has damaged his investment,i would think the £100,000 he will eventually get from the DUSF maybe outweighed by fans deciding not to renew season tickets for 21/22 because of the uncertainty he has caused with his negative statement.
