It's lost its meaning IMO probs just as well crowds arent in the grounds as there would be backlash for it

Agreed,it would do more harm than good. There are people who disagree with it but are not racist. It would only take a few pyshed up fans booing it to potentially seeing fights breaking out in the stands.

Thats exactly what would happen G

Personality I don't really see the harm in it, it's over in seconds and a nice symbolic gesture in a sport that's had issues with racism in the past.

It'll end at some point I'm sure, there have been matches when it's not happened and no one batted an eyelid.

When Scotland beat England at Twickenham last week for the first time in 38 years the media reported almost as much on players not taking the knee as they did on the game.

My opinion is that kneeling before the game is a nice touch but the message still doesn't get through so therefore it makes it fairly pointless. How many years have clubs been "showing racism the red card"? and we still have idiots giving this sort of abuse.

Accountability on Social Media should be the main thing to deal with. The amount of nonsense on Social media is crazy and needs to be dealt with.

tougher punishments for people found guilty of this sort of abuse and it will start to slowly get cut out. Attitudes need to be changed its not the 70's anymore.

"Brentford players will stop taking a knee before their games, as they believe the gesture is "no longer having an impact" in the fight against racism and discrimination in football".
