Safe set of hands I'd say at best, but he is never going to get a team beyond their natural ceiling, and they had a window of 5-6 years due other sides implosions to maybe challenge and win a few cups but never threatened.

He wouldn't have been able to reinvent Utd like Levein/Houston, or hit the hits of McNamra the season we were playing unbelievable football. On the other hand he would have prob kept us up with regular mid table finished playing unexciting stuff with a big guy up front likely and seasoned pros ahead of youngsters.
    Top analysis imo.

If McInnes had a choice between signing Lionel Messi or a big strong average striker from Dortmund he'd choose the German.

With their resources he's massively under achieved and his sides play industrial football, no wonder the natives from Middle Earth are restless.

Ye agree with most of that but at least he's shown consistency at Aberdeen while the managers at clubs of the same size(Hearts and Hibs) have taken their teams down.

Constantly signing players deemed not good enough for the infirm has served McInnes well for so many years now but the sheepies are growing impatient. I think he's away at the end of the season.

The Sheepies are reminding me very much currently of Stoke City fans with Tony Pulis. Unhappy with the ‘standard’ of football, getting bored of top half Premier League finishes and demanding managerial change in order to go to ‘The Next Level’. Well look how that worked out - be careful of what you wish for.....................

Celtic have been dreadful this season but the sheep are still 19 points behind them and the sheepies are not happy at all, they still think they are a big club and should be closer to the top points wise......deluded wee sheepies so they are.

If Wiggy had done the honourable thing and NOT voted to maintain the equilibrium of the 10-2 SPL voting structure while Sevco were down then by now there may well have been a more equitable distribution of monies to the participating Clubs voted through which would have perhaps allowed more funds in the long term for McInnes to keep the SSBs competitive. But he didn’t and now they aren’t. Hey ho, dem’s da breaks. W@nker.

100% bang on. I couldn't believe it at the time.

    True.

But the worst thing that happened at the Britannia was allowing fn Rod Stewart to perform there 🤓
