I also think your last paragraph raises some interesting and alarming questions, GP...and frankly wish our Forest supporting ‘guest’ would stop using our forum to repeatedly publicise the thoughts of the Express, the Mail and other, much more sinister, far Right publications.

Good old censorship. That tool of the left, that they are so fond of.

04/12/2020 · The hard left aren’t happy and are going on about Starmer’s suppression of debate and free speech. Some digging through the Labour history archives reveals that it’s not the first time in recent living memory a Labour General Secretary has banned motions regarding individual disciplinary cases of hard-left figures.

My guess is that as more variants emerge, the vaccines will need tweaking and hopefully not major overhauls. Thus I reckon we will need to get used to an annual covid jab alongside the annual flu one as virus and anti virus evolve in parallel.

On a slight side issue, but linked to the pan european objection to AZ - I've been trying to figure out the above average level of anti vax sentiments in the BAME community who seem more susceptible to covid in the first place. To be fair, I don't really care, if people don't want the vaccine, then that's their right, but don't come moaning back to me if they then catch covid. Question then is, do you treat non vaxxers on the NHS - they've been offered a solution once and rejected it once?

A couple of other oddities I've noticed - (1) there is an above average susceptibility to covid amongst the indian population in the UK but a comparatively low incidence in India itself. I wonder why, some reference Vitamin D? (2) amongst the black community there seems to be a resistance to the vaccination because "we've been subject to medical experimentation before". Anyone got a clue what this references: or is it just white supremacist propaganda I've seen!

Nothing to do with ‘censorship’, TTR...much more to do with your repeated propaganda.
I can’t actually think of an instance where anyone you might describe as ‘left leaning’ on here has posted any sort of media link.
In fact I can’t think of anyone on here at all who regularly posts media links other than you.
Most of us make our own arguments and substantiate them where necessary by acknowledging the source.
Unfortunately, on virtually a daily basis, you continue to feed us the thoughts of the infantile Right by posting links to the Express, the Mail, YouTube and worse.
If I was advocating ‘censorship’ I’d say it shouldn’t be allowed...as it is, if I wanted to read utter bollux I’d buy the papers you delight in endlessly quoting, but I don’t and, as I said, I just wish you’d stop.

There was a news feature on this the other day and the informed opinion is that the false news impacting Indians is coming from sources in India itself which makes no obvious sense. My future son in laws mum gets inundated with them

The ‘experimentation’ thing reached my ears from one of those fellahs that BBC and C4 wheel out daily to spin yet another anti-imperialism story, can’t recall his name but I’ll find it when home, he has a Swalist approach ie little evidence of provenance. The feature wasn’t repeated that I heard, I’m guessing because another contributor was making the argument for NOT chasing BAME vaccine avoiders on the basis that it is diverting attention from white avoiders, who although a smaller percentage of their demographic, are the larger actual number (by a long way over South Asians, les so over blacks) due to the larger ‘starting number’

rA: Is "wishing he'd stop" any different to censorship? If you don't want to read it, don't click on the link. Similarly I don't want to be fed some of the bollux you trot out, but I respect your right to spout it whether I disagree or not.

On the subject of which, what do you reckon to schools reopening in a couple of weeks?

I take it your assertion that there is no provenance for what i say is just you having a little joke again? I provide plenty of provenance, you ignore it if it doesn't suit you or misinterpret it.

Then GP complains that I've plagiarised something in the Guardian, I did explain that I'd actually used a number sources including the Times Channel 4 etc. and hadn't actually lifted it straight from one source. Seems one is damned if one does and damned if one doesn't.

But I find the ignorant prefer to remain that way and make fake allegations, still laughing at your white racism joke, that was a side splitter

No problem RA, just never mention the BBC or Guardian again then(which you do), with their left wing bias and perpetual Tory bashing which you love.

‘Is wishing he’d stop any different to censorship?’ Yes, of course it is. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce Right wing bollux...I’m saying I wish he wouldn’t use OUR forum to do it.

You don’t want to be fed some of the bollux I trot out...fair comment...we all ‘trot out’ some nonsense sometimes, but at least it actually is MY bollux trotted out on OUR forum...not someone using our forum to repeatedly regurgitate very poor Right wing journalism.

Seems strange that after criticising my ‘bollux’ you then ask my opinion, but for what it’s worth...I hope as many schools can open as quickly as possible from March 8th onwards.
Because of the amount of mixing that goes on in schools and the way in which the results of such mixing are then returned to the home I think schools play an obvious part in spreading the virus and because of that I think we have to be very careful.
At the moment there is a real danger that people will think we’ve won and the virus is defeated. All the signs are pointing the right way, but all the signs are the result of, what will be by the time the schools go back, well over two months of lockdown. Let’s face it, if under those circumstances the signs weren’t pointing in the right direction we’d be ****ed.
To summarise...I welcome the reopening of schools. I think we need to proceed very cautiously and I wish the bloody silly ‘CRG’ would sod off and let those who know what they’re talking about lead us to back to normality as soon as is safely possible.

You just don’t get it do you? Find me an example of when I’ve posted a link from the Guardian or the BBC and you’ll have I point.
I’ve never made a secret of the fact that I often read the Guardian (online) and that I admire the BBC. They, amongst others, help form my views.
What I don’t do is post extracts from them as you repeatedly do with every piece of anti EU, anti immigrant, anti Labour ‘journalism’ you can find.

How very small world and forum-nationalistic of you to reference "OUR" forum. That's akin to saying that a Romanian has no right to express an opinion in OUR country just because you don't agree with it. I cant help but feel that the colour of TTR's football shirt in no way informs his political perspective. However, moving on........

Its not strange to ask your opinion - not everything you post is bollux - and given your past advocacy of keeping schools closed, its interesting that you now have done what amounts to a vault-face and support reopening. I share your concerns about too much too soon, as I imagine most of those taking/collecting will not have had the jab yet, but at least taking it home to granny may be covered off
