We would certainly be in tier 2 based on the previous calculators. Pushing close to tier 1.

I get the frustration. I am pretty deflated too hearing this plan. That said though I did shake my head in disbelief at Boris and his ambitious plan yesterday.

We may move quicker than what is projected. What we can't do though is get it wrong. Nobody can go backwards again.

G fair play for saying that mate as I know where your allegiances lie. And aye you’re right least that’s stuttering idiot who combs his hair with a toffee apple gave the English some hope, us however it’s not gave any hope it’s another kick in the balls. No finishing line in sight. Talk about deflating a nation. F uck me 🤮

Not at all. What we need is positivity & Boris' statement gave us just that. It got people talking, it got people excited and we could all finally see an end to this sh*te. Lego heeds just put a total dampener on things. We'll probably have comparative figures to tier 1 by the time lockdown ends but I bet she won't put us in it.

Positive stuff. Vaccines in general going really well with some incredibly good data coming out as to the impact. Hospital cases massively down and community incidence low

Hard not to be deflated after hoping for more today but there is the argument to underpromise and over deliver. We may move faster than what is suggested. Overpromising as per Boris really does risk disappointing people if it is not achievable.

Hope is still there. Genuine hope of a end to all of this this time too.

I completely get that. I am playing devil's advocate in part. Hope is important but realistic hope and sustainable hope is needed.

I do think today is over safe. I do hope that will move more optimistically soon though

We have supressed the virus far better than the other home nations with her leadership but today was the day to repay the nation and we got phuck all for our efforts.
She could have blown the Scottish Tories oot the FN water today by opening up quicker than the English giving our businesses an advantage over their rivals in the other home nations.
An example of this would be the tourism and hospitality sector,if we opened up a week or two before the other nations people needing a break would be tempted to book Scotland.
A stipulation of any booking in law saying you must prove you've had the vaccine or a negative test would be required.

see to be honest....there seems to be a hell of a lot if if's or but's! We could be released from restrictions earlier or later depending on figures. I'll take evey little win as it comes..the main thing is we are coming to the end of this! We have constantly been a coupme of weeks behind london with its pattern of cases...so an extra couple of weeks seems realistic so we can see how the measures are working in England. A few more weeks and the clocks change..more daylight and more chance to escape outside..lots to be happy with. We just want to make sure we never have to go back into lockdown again.

Why not? That's exactly what will happen if we open up then a new vaccine resistant strain appears anyway. Don't get the logic, I'm sorry.

We have out performed the other UK nations in supressing the virus and have been heavily punished for it.That's the way i feel and i'm a bigger nationalist than Sturgeon will ever be,FACT.
BTW there were 3 cases detected in Aberdeen today out of 207,000 and everything remains closed for another 2 months.
