Four points from a possible six against Stockport is a good return against a fellow contender, taken in abstract. What takes the shine off it is the unsatisfactory way we've dropped points against lesser teams, which is why we will probably have to settle for the play-offs when a club with our resources should be neck-and-neck with Torquay. However, as others have said, the season has a long way to go and it's still possible we will recover some of those lost points and that the likes of Torquay and Sutton will fade. All that matters is your position at the end of the season, whether that's on PPG or a fully completed programme of matches.

Torquay will probably stutter from here on in and end up in the play offs, but I wouldn't bank on Sutton fading, they've been very consistent since the middle of last season. If 2019/20 had begun in mid-November they'd have finished 3rd. They've only lost 6 league games this decade so far.
