Agree, no one formation I've seen is the obvious choice which gets the best out of our squad. Wootton up front on his own, Doyle + Reeves/Wolfe/Job as a midfield 2 in a 4-4-2 doesn't work for me being prime examples.


The flat back 4 is the one consistent for me. A 4-4-2 diamond runs into the same issue as flat 4-4-2 unless your wide men aren't as attack focused as Enzio and Roberts.

How about Doyle in front of back 4, Reeves and Wolfe just ahead with a bit of width, Rodders or Roberts behind Wootton and Knowles at the top of the diamond. Enzio on bench.

Even typing it I don't like it.
