Whenever I think of diamond in midfield it is always with one DM and two CMs then one CAM/Supporting Striker. It never works with two wide men, you are just to exposed in the middle on the break and you can not control the ball enough either.

For me the formation we should be playing is 4-2-3-1, we played this way recently and had good moments but I would swap Doyle out of the CM for Jimmy B / Wolfe / Loan player

The three behind Wootton are they key for me Enzio, Cal & Rodney. You've got to give them the freedom to link up and swap places at the drop of the hat and cause confusion in the opposition defense. They would also need to supply support to Wootton by running in behind him and strectching the defense to give him some space to work.


I appreciate Ardley hasn't had Roberts for a long time this season but I feel we could have got a better loan cover then we have done. Christ our attacking loans so far have been poor.
