My 2 main observations, Barnetts avin a shocker bar the cross and if Wooton gets injured we’re in big trouble. Thought we were quite direct for a change, but it didn’t work.

Can't remember seeing us winning at half time after playing poorer than we did in that first half. Poor finishing from the other team has let us off the hook more than once this season. Very much thanks to Kyle Wootton, we've done a better job with our chances than they have with theirs.

Can't help thinking we've got to shake things up in our team every now and again though. We will get found out playing the same way every game. I also worry that Reeves and Doyle in midfield has downsides when they're both on their game. When one of them is off the pace, particularly if it's Reeves, we quickly start getting chronically overrun.

In the first 10 minutes I counted Reeves passing losing us possession 5 times.

I think that's the most bizarre first half I've seen for ages (apart from maybe Dagenham). Overrun and outplayed for most of the half, could have conceded 3 or 4 yet we go in 2-1 up. What is it about our inability to start a game well?

I only saw Notts play once last season and that was at home to Halifax. Notts improved after Doyle was straight red-carded. Mind you I don't think he was as fit or mobile then as he is now.

It seems most opponents come with a game plan that gets the better of us and means we have to change our formation. For 35 minutes they were quicker, more mobile and their passing was more incisive. We need to be playing at a much quicker tempo and, dare I say it, we need more pace and energy in the side.
Not quite sure how we’re winning 2-1 but I’ll take it anyhow.

I agree. Wootton has 12 goals in 22 games and that is an excellent return thus far. He is having a great season. We've only scored 16 goals this season in the league taking Wootton's goals away. So the other outfield players in the side really do need to be finding the back of the net.

Sorry to say this when we are in the lead, but you are better than that Swale. I don't think Kyle Wootton has ever been the subject of negative comments on here, but I can understand your reaction because you yourself have been subjected to some very unfair criticism today. All I will say is that if your quote was a 'guess the poster' competition, I would have gone for laddo in a heartbeat.

I know my last sentence is very, very harsh, so if you yellow card me I will see it as deserved.
