No matter what your own personal opinion of SA is, just look at the statistics. Up to and including the Man. City game, when we let in five, we had conceded 50 goals. In the following eight games we have conceded just eight goals. While I'm not a lover of that style of play had that been reciprocated over the season we could well have avoided relegation. SA saw what we had, realised what we needed, and did as well as he could with the funds available to him. There's no denying we're a better side than we were and harder to beat so we need to give him some slack. What we do at the end of the season is beside the point but I don't think that anyone else would have done better in attempting to keep us up.

Look at Liverpool, all conquering champions last season. Yes, I know they've lost a lot of players through injury but they've still got a better squad than we have and they've lost five home games on the trot. Looks like being six as they're 0-1 down to Fulham. Klopp can't buy a home win. My point is would someone like him have done any better?

I agree Leicester! Fat Sam likes money so I would put the same bonus on the table had he kept us up - if he gets us back up! Fat Sam I think would jump at that and rebuild the side with his players with the bonus in mind!
