There is no vaccine progress tonight, because the nature of the main cohort in progress just now, tied in with supply issues means there is no meaningful progress to report. Im betting some of you will be happy to hear that I wont make a progress report tomorrow either as Sundays figures are usually low as well, so tune in Tuesday for the weekly update!

And why i am positive and written before earlier replies on here!

I will say that the other night I jokingly mentioned it would be good to see week on week averages with figures in the 500-400-300-200-100s. This week though, we have seen the daily figures just like that, with 4x500s 1x400s and 2x300s. I have always said that low weekend figures are a tad unreliable, but since the peak, weekend figures have continued to mirror the weekly figures since the start of the year, and only now seem to be significantly down on the weekday figures around them. Will reduced daily infections continue, I certainly hope so!

Affshore asked the question a couple of weeks ago, related to tiers and the 7-day cases/100k, and I have mixed feelings about that just now. From memory when I looked at the figures to answer that, 17 Local Authorities were able to meet whatever Tier less than 75 cases/100k applied to. Since then, we have been down to 15 Local Authorities, and now we have 22. This to me is an indicator that this is the time to implement Tiers, and vaccine aside, is a far better position than when Tiers were introduced initially! Another good pointer in the cases/100k, Falkirk were the highest area at over 300, and although they are still the second highest at 122, Clackmannan are highest at half the above rate. On the downside, there are a few areas including Dundee that are fluctuating a bit, but nothing serious. The big negative and why I have mixed feelings, is the dominant strain being more transmissible, and we really should not take any big chances.

This may look like i am a fully paid up member of the Nic brigade, but it just makes no sense to me to blame the one big enough to tell us the data based decisions on what happens next at every turn.

Why am i not coming out in unison with everyone else, well im not surprised its happened, im not surprised the police did very little, and i wont be surprised if nothing is done about it at SPL/SFA/SG levels! I am also not too worried this will have a detrimental effect on the way the fight against this virus is heading, but we only have to wait 10 days for that!
The points is, if the whole of Scotland remains in lockdown because of a spike of infections in Glasgow caused by this (which has been suggested by NS in her tweets tonight) then SNP won't be getting a vote from me. Don't see what's that complicated about this to be honest, political consequences for political decisions, that's how it works.

    TTT,
If the data says that is what is needed, then it wont be a political decision though! And sadly, The Rangers support is not limited to Glasgow city limits and like ive said above, some of them may have travelled for their day, and in addition to that, even got together all over the country.

Thats not Nics fault, she is just the one with big enough balls to tell you the consequences!

😂 I've never read anything so parochial and short sighted on here and that's saying something. I've always thought of you as a voice of reason, hmm, not so much...

Fair and honest comment there. Was the walk from Tynecastle outwith one of the lock-downs? Even if so, there were still social distancing rules in place I'm sure, and I remember the reception the guys got entering Tannadice Street right up to the park gates. Not sure we abided by the rules then either.

Only Social Distancing rules at that time i think. But while i wasnt there, i dont think that day has matched what has gone today.

Yeah, they'll be there from all over Scotland. Come on eh? What I'm saying will be NS's fault is IF she uses a spike in infection data in Glasgow caused by these idiotic scenes to keep THE WHOLE OF SCOTLAND in lock-down. You really think this is justifiable?

I'm being unreasonable because I think data from Glasgow shouldn't affect other areas coming out of lock-down and if this is what happens I'll use my democratic right to change my vote?

I understand why you in particular would take a dim view of my attitude toward weegies but fkn look at that on TV tonight FFS.

I dont understand what you are getting at with this reply.

You are right that the Data in Glasgow should not affect us, but its not limited to Glasgow for reason already outlined.

Quite a bit of what you are relying on seems to be based on What ifs and conspiracy theories, something you have had a go at me about in the past!

What I'm saying is that 99% of those in Glasgow tonight will be from there and the surrounding areas.

Regarding your last point, yes, I agree aside from the part about conspiracy theories, where did you get that from? That's why I put IF in the posts I've made.

NS's own tweet threatens that these actions could delay the easing of lock-down, that's not something I'm making up, have a read for yourself.
