A strong team performance where we are on the front foot from the off and press them hard none of this wishy washy rubbish is what I want to see. Hopefully that brings more chances and therefore more goals. We must win this game.

Tonight's the lowest my expectations have been before a streamed home game. What do you want to see from the team? For me...
Goalkeeper - quicker, forward-thinking distribution. His instinct is to hold on to the ball, but when he puts his mind to it (or gets an instruction?) he can be a bit more of a Kaspar and find better-placed players faster. That's less of a risk than waiting and rolling it out to one of the back 4 anyway...
Centre backs - these guys have been great and it doesn't feel right to ask for more, just a bit more of a leadership role in driving the play forward and getting the players in front of them to do their part
Full-backs - Feel sorry for the players filling in now (DKE included) - inexperienced, not really used to the team or the style of play.. Just do your best. Good luck to them fending off another high press!
Centre-Mid - Not gonna waste my time
Attacking players - Just don't go hiding. They've all got what it takes - they've just got to get involved and make sure they don't leave anything out there...we can't afford any passengers.

I want to see Ardley and Abbott do a limbo competition before kick off to get us in the mood then maybe the reserve team could do the score from West Side Story whilst the first team warm up.
On the other hand I'll just take 3 points.
The enemy tonight won't know what to expect from our new lad Knight apart from his speed. I want to see him distract their defenders while Wooton, Sam and Enzio each score a goal.
I want to see Mark Ellis dominate our centre of defence enough to destroy Halifax's confidence.
I want to see Richardson tackling wingers and stopping crosses from his side of the field. If he can charge upfield and lob the ball into enemy territory now and then I wouldn't mind seeing that too.
I would like to see us take the game to them, play most of it in their half, put them under sustained pressure, create several chances, and force their goalkeeper to make more saves than ours. That's what promotion winning teams do at home against lower opposition more often than not. If we do that and lose or draw because luck or refereeing decisions didn't go our way I could accept it, but if we win, lose or draw by playing as if we are scared of our opponents then I can't accept it.
