Tricky...two wrongs do not make a right and I have never ever suggested some simplistic nonsense about white = bad and black = good.
I don’t doubt for a moment that wrongdoers come from every colour and creed but in this instance we are dealing with our own British history which we do have some influence over.
What you appear not to know is that, in the case of Colston...when a corrective plaque was designed, explaining the numbers of black slaves that had been transported by Colston, the number that had died and the fact that only those in Bristol who subscribed to Colston’s political and religious beliefs were allowed to benefit from his ‘generosity’...it was opposed by a Tory councillor called Richard Eddy who suggested that it should be vandalised.
